Vejay has deep industry knowledge in copyright, trademark, right of publicity, and privacy in both traditional content mediums and the growing AI space. He regularly partners with venture-backed technology companies across a variety of industries with an emphasis on AI/Machine Learning, fintech, entertainment, gaming, consumer and hospitality, health and wellness, fashion and beauty tech businesses and brands. Vejay counsels and negotiates complex commercial deals including enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements, influencer endorsements, disclosures, and complex promotions to strategic technology and data licensing, integrations, and commercial partnerships.

Liquid Death has turned to Vejay repeatedly as their brand has grown, trusting him with a series of high-profile commercial transactions and collaborations. He advised on retail and commercial investment and partnerships with 7-Eleven and Live Nation, several celebrity advisory and talent collaborations, and recently helped Liquid Death give away a fighter jet in a promotion.

When The New York Times sought to expand its gaming portfolio through the acquisition of Wordle, they relied on Vejay to ensure a smooth transaction process and has advised The New York Times’ legal team with related investments and ad-tech partnerships.

Vejay is involved with numerous incubators accelerators, and venture funds including Palm Tree Crew, Ember, XRC Labs, and New York Fashion Tech Lab where he serves as counsel and a resource and mentor for their portfolio companies. Vejay frequently speaks on advertising, intellectual property, regulatory and related considerations in AI, marketing, and brand protection.

  • Represented Loop Returns in commercial partnerships including a return management partnership with Affirm and returns logistics partnership with Veho.
  • Represented SaaS and on-premises software provider EngFlow in connection with its enterprise customer partnerships in the remote execution and build space.
  • Represented FlipAI, an observability Large Language Model intelligence platform in connection with customer integrations and partnerships.
  • Represented The New York Times in investments and acquisitions including its acquisition of Wordle to its gaming portfolio.
  • Represented Rock the Bells in its commercial, talent, sponsorship, and joint venture agreements, including in connection with its Rock the Bells annual festival and Ford sponsorship/Historically Black Colleges and Universities tour.
