Melissa advises clients in the technology and life sciences industries on a broad variety of litigation matters.

Before joining Fenwick, Melissa was a staff attorney at an international law firm, where she advised a global social media company on litigation and regulatory matters. Prior to that, she served as general counsel and head of human resources at Maverick, a next generation social network, where she handled day-to-day legal affairs for the startup, including commercial, employment, operational and talent agreements.

Melissa has an active pro bono practice. She has assisted multiple families with adoptions in connection with the firm’s Pro Bono Adoption Project with Public Counsel, where she serves as a project coordinator in the Santa Monica office. She has also partnered with Immigrant Legal Defense to assist a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient with their DACA renewal. Melissa has also served as a volunteer for Vote Save America and National Poll Worker Recruitment.
