He is also a top advisor in the games and interactive entertainment industries. The New York Times turned to Joseph to ensure a smooth transaction on a tight timeline when they broadened their games portfolio by acquiring Wordle. When Wonder Dynamics was being acquired by Autodesk, they trusted Joseph to advise on AI, open source, and intellectual property due diligence. Joseph is an active member of the legal community. In addition to his transactional practice, he is part of the Talent Outreach Working Group in Fenwick’s DEI Committee, and he teaches video game law at Berkeley Law. Joseph was a software engineer for the U.S. Air Force and received an Achievement Medal from NATO for the creation of software to automate flight planning operations.
