Greg supports clients in matters related to export controls, economic sanctions, international trade and technology. He has extensive experience evaluating, developing, and restructuring global trade compliance programs, supporting trade compliance investigations, conducting export control product classifications, and conducting trade-focused due diligence reviews in corporate acquisitions. Greg is also a licensed customs broker with experience in HTS classification, valuation, FTA certificate compliance and country of origin determinations. Greg supports clients on day-to-day compliance matters and the most complex trade compliance issues, including those that require analysis of large volumes of client user, transaction and shipment data.

Greg regularly works on matters involving the key international trade agencies, including the Bureau of Industry & Security (BIS), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), Customs and Border Protection and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Prior to joining Fenwick, Greg worked as a senior trade analyst for an Am Law 200 firm, where he managed complex international trade projects. He has assisted companies in a broad range of industries with sanctions and export compliance matters and has developed specialized compliance tools for use by companies in the technology, life sciences, and other sectors. In addition to his export compliance work, Greg oversaw a team of analysts and research assistants to support trade compliance investigations and international trade-related litigation.
