Eric has a proven track record of successfully representing technology companies in high-stakes patent litigation up to and through trial. He advises clients across a diverse range of industries, including cloud computing, natural language processing, video decoding, e-commerce, and software and hardware design. He pairs this knowledge with clear and concise prose to effectively communicate technical issues.

Committed to providing his clients with effective and efficient dispute resolution strategies, Eric has experience with all aspects of litigation, including summary judgment, trial, and appeal. He has successfully defended clients in jurisdictions throughout the country, including the Northern District of California, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, District of Delaware, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.

During law school, Eric was a senior articles editor for the UC Law SF Journal, a member of the UC Law SF Moot Court Team and received numerous awards for academics and written advocacy. Eric has also written and published on the topic of patent aggregators and antitrust claims against non-practicing entities.

Prior to joining Fenwick, Eric served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Charles R. Breyer of the Northern District Court in San Francisco and worked as a law clerk in the antitrust division of the California Attorney General’s office.
