Emily represents clients in the high technology and life sciences industries in a broad variety of intellectual property matters with a focus on patent prosecution. She advises clients on IP strategies that support their business goals and works with startups to manage their initial patent filings. Emily also provides first-rate knowledge of strategic portfolio planning and prosecution of design patents in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, Emily provides support as a patent specialist on M&A deals.

Emily serves as an editor and occasional author of Fenwick’s quarterly Intellectual Property Bulletin and serves on the firm’s Community Impact Committee, where she helps to organize donation drives and volunteer opportunities for her colleagues in Fenwick’s Vermont office. She also enjoys participating in pro bono projects, especially asylum and visa clinics.
