Cara represents technology and life sciences companies in a broad range of commercial transactions involving intellectual property.

Cara has experience advising startups and established companies in software, Internet services, hardware, semiconductors, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, professional services and entertainment.

Prior to joining Fenwick, Cara was a Director in the Products (Technology Transactions and IP) team for a multinational professional services firm, where she acted as lead commercial and product counsel for various B2B SaaS offerings and on-premise software offerings, including offerings for the Internet of Things (IoT). In this role, she worked closely with business teams, advising them on all aspects of commercial contracting and counseling them throughout product development and deployment. Cara also served as of counsel for an Am Law 50 firm, where she advised clients on transactional matters involving intellectual property, including matters regarding the development, licensing, acquisition and sale of intellectual property and technology and other commercial agreements.
