Ali’s practice in Fenwick's Intellectual Property group focuses on advising clients (start-ups, later stage companies and investors) on technology transactions and IP matters in a wide range of industries such as software, consumer, fitness, gaming, entertainment, blockchain/cryptocurrency, fintech and digital media.
Ali advises both companies and VC clients on the commercial and IP aspects of M&A, divestitures, financings, joint ventures and IPOs, and also guides clients on legal and compliance issues that arise from early product development stages through to launch.
She drafts and negotiates complex licensing transactions, such as partnership and collaboration agreements, SaaS agreements, content development licenses, source code licenses, manufacturing and supply agreements and consumer and business terms of use.
