Friends of the Children-Seattle Honors Fenwick with Inspiring Greatness Award

Fenwick received the Inspiring Greatness Award for an organization from Friends of the Children – Seattle at its 25th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Friends of the Children connects professional mentors with youths from as early as four years of age through high school.

“For nearly two decades, Fenwick’s partnership with Friends-Seattle has transcended typical corporate philanthropy, profoundly embracing the transformative power of mentorship in overcoming poverty and inequality,” the organization wrote. “Through consistent support, innovative programs, and a willingness to involve firm employees directly in Friends-Seattle's work, Fenwick has proven to be a true partner in inspiring greatness in the youth they serve.”

Additionally, pro bono paralegal Fay Kelley was nominated for the Inspiring Greatness Award for an individual. She is recognized for her instrumental role in leading Fenwick’s partnership and programming with Friends of the Children – Seattle over the years. In her work, Fay has helped expand partnerships with other office/state locations, while also creating internship opportunities for local Friends-Seattle alumni.

Fenwick began partnering with Friends of the Children-Seattle in 2008, when retired Fenwick Partner Stephen Graham joined the firm and helped open the Seattle office. Stephen still serves as Chair of Friends of the Children’s National Board.
