Mountain View, CA (June 9, 2015)– Fenwick & West announced today that for the second year in a row, the firm has been recognized as having the Best National Mentoring Program and being the Best National Firm for Pro Bono in North America by Euromoney at its Americas Women in Business Law Awards. Euromoney honors the most effective firmwide initiatives, as well as the best individual women lawyers in the Americas.
Two Fenwick partners also received Women in Business Awards, bringing Fenwick's total to four. Jennifer Fuller was named Best in Tax Dispute Resolution – as she was in 2014 – and partner Larissa Neumann was selected as this year's tax Rising Star.
Fenwick's mentoring programs – which include efforts to support new lawyer integration, provide associates with practical career guidance and offer meaningful assistance with practice and client development – are a key component of the firm's support for women in the law.
Fenwick's commitment to pro bono service has been recognized repeatedly. During the past five years, Fenwick lawyers have given some 50,000 hours of pro bono service valued at $20 million in legal fees.
Fuller, a senior partner in the firm's Tax Group, advises on federal tax litigation as well as on corporate and international transactions and planning matters. She has received numerous awards for her tax practice.
"I'm very grateful to receive this recognition again from Euromoney," Fuller said. "I'm also pleased to see the work of so many other women attorneys acknowledged."
Neumann, who previously was named a rising star in Euromoney's World's Leading Tax Advisers guide, counsels clients on U.S. tax planning and tax controversy, with a focus on international transactions.
"It's wonderful to be honored in this way," Neumann said. "It's also great to be part of a Fenwick team that provides outstanding support to women lawyers both inside and outside the firm."
