Fenwick & West announced today that it has been awarded information security certification under the prestigious ISO 27001:2013 standard, the world’s highest accreditation for information protection and security.
In addition, the leading security rating service, BitSight, currently assigns Fenwick one of the highest security ratings achieved in the legal industry. This places Fenwick’s security approach and performance in the top 10% of all businesses globally that BitSight tracks, currently more than 115,000 companies.
“Fenwick takes information security very seriously, and we go to great lengths to ensure client information is private and secure,” said Kevin Moore, Fenwick’s Chief Security Officer. “We’re always implementing new measures and protection, and are proud to be recognized for our information protection and security practices with the ISO 27001 certification.”
ISO 27001 is the internationally recognized standard for certifying that a company’s information security management system (ISMS) protects its information and that of its customers and clients. To obtain certification, Fenwick underwent comprehensive internal and external reviews to ensure its core IT services met the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001. This process was audited and validated by the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board, a global provider of training, examination, audit and certification services.
