Fenwick Named a Top-Tier Firm, Partners Achieve High Rankings in World Trademark Review 1000

Fenwick has once again received “gold-tier” status in the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000—as well as gold-tier designations in California for enforcement and litigation, and for prosecution and strategy.

Seven Fenwick lawyers also variously earned individual recognition for their strategic guidance and litigatory prowess in California, New York, and nationally.

Eric Ball, head of the trademark litigation practice, ranked on WTR 1000’s list of leading individuals in California for enforcement and litigation for his ninth consecutive time, with WTR calling him “one of the best trademark litigators on the West Coast, boasting an impressive roster of technology clients. He is exceptionally quick, intelligent, dedicated and meticulous.”

Connie Ellerbach, chair of the trademark group, earned her 15th consecutive gold-tier ranking for prosecution and strategy in California, as well as high marks nationally, standing out “as the trusted adviser for the world’s most pioneering companies” known for “expertly managing everything from brand refreshes to core brand assets with unparalleled expertise.”

Kathryn Fritz was once again ranked in WTR 1000’s California enforcement and litigation category, notably for combining “her business acumen with extensive experience, enriching her practice with strategic insight and seasoned expertise.”

Mark Jansen, co-lead of the firm’s games and blockchain & cryptocurrency industry groups, earned high rankings in New York for both prosecution and strategy, and enforcement and litigation.

Jedediah Wakefield was awarded top-tier rankings for enforcement and litigation both nationwide and in California, with WTR noting he “chairs the firm’s litigation group with a wealth of proficiency, expertly navigating high-stakes intellectual property cases for innovative technology and life sciences companies.”

Karen Webb, achieved national ranking for prosecution and strategy and was one of just three lawyers to receive gold-tier rankings in California for enforcement and litigation, as well as prosecution and strategy. WTR called her “a true brand protection specialist” who is “[r]enowned for guiding global companies through the complexities of consumer tech."

Andrew Bridges, litigation partner emeritus, was listed in California and received high rankings nationally for enforcement and litigation and is “valued for his consistently top-tier strategic advice that resonates with clients across various industries,” WTR said.
