Fenwick’s work advising industry-shaping tech and pioneering life sciences companies has earned the firm recognition as a finalist for Tech Industry Advisory Team of the Year at The Recorder’s California Legal Awards. Partner Jennifer Stanley was also honored among the Women Leaders in Tech Law for intellectual property, celebrating her experience and dedication to excellence in tech law.
Over the past year, Fenwick was at the center of technological innovation, advising trailblazing companies making significant advancements in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, healthtech, and other cutting-edge sectors. This included advising Databricks in its $1.3 billion acquisition of MosaicML, representing Shockwave in a record-setting $13.1 billion acquisition by Johnson & Johnson, and advising on three of the top venture financings of 2024.
“At Fenwick, we truly operate as a single unit, as a collective team all working toward the same objective, and that is what makes us so successful,” the team told the publication. “We are humbled by the trust our clients place in us and remain committed to delivering results that reflect their confidence in our capabilities.”
Jennifer also spoke to The Recorder in a Q&A highlighting her recent professional achievements and role in supporting women in tech law.
“Lately, we've been keeping busy with some highly innovative projects in the artificial intelligence and machine learning space that have got us very excited,” Jennifer, who co-leads Fenwick’s innovative Games Industry group and Technology Transactions practice, told The Recorder.
“I've been very fortunate to have fantastic mentors throughout my career who have encouraged me to voice my opinions, step out of my comfort zone, and challenge the status quo, helping me to become the lawyer I am today. I feel it is my responsibility now to pay that forward.”
