Fenwick has achieved Mansfield 6.0 Certification Plus status from Diversity Lab, following a rigorous 12-month certification process. Fenwick was one of the first firms to partner with Diversity Lab to pilot the Mansfield Rule, obtaining Mansfield Certification for our commitment to diversity since the program’s commencement in 2018.
The Mansfield Rule certification process recognizes law firms and legal departments for broadening the talent pools and for their efforts in ensuring that all talent has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership.
“We are proud to have Fenwick’s efforts in advancing the goals that the Mansfield Rule represents. Our diverse talent pool and inclusive workplace are the cornerstones of our Fenwick culture, underpinning the innovative and client-centered services we consistently deliver,” said Fenwick partners Catherine Kevane and Bomi Lee co-chair the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Steering Board, and reiterated the firm’s commitment to advancing the principles of the Mansfield Rule.
Fenwick is a leading technology and life sciences law firm recognized for fostering a diverse and inclusive work culture. The firm is ranked among the top 15 U.S. law firms in The American Lawyer’s 2023 Diversity Scorecard. In addition to its Mansfield Rule certification, the firm has received perfect scores on The Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality, for over a decade. The firm is a finalist for the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s (MCCA) 2023 Thomas L. Sager Award for championing diversity in the workplace, and it has earned coast-to-coast recognitions as a “best place to work” in surveys by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, San Francisco Business Times and Crain’s New York.
