Fenwick intellectual property partner Antonia Sequeira was named one of The Recorder’s Women Leaders in Tech Law for 2017.
The Recorder noted that Sequeira led a Fenwick team that filed patents for the latest Facebook and Instagram app features, and for the Oculus Rift VR headset.
Asked who’s been the best leader she’s seen in action, she told The Recorder, “I can't pick a single best leader, but I can say that I'm constantly impressed by the strong women that surround me in my profession, from those leading the companies I represent to my colleagues at my firm. They constantly (and gracefully) overcome challenges associated with being female leaders in tech while still taking the time to mentor and motivate those around them.”
Sequeira concentrates on patent prosecution, counseling, analysis and litigation. Her technology focus includes medical and biotechnology device, digital health/health IT, laboratory automation, bioscience, biopharmaceutical, genomics, proteomics, genomic diagnostics, clean technology, social networking, computer security, electronic commerce, VR/AR, and other software and internet technologies.
Sequeira was also named to the Daily Journal’s 2017 Top 100 Women Lawyers list, which honors the most outstanding women lawyers in California. She is one of five Fenwick partners honored by The Recorder this year, the most honorees from any organization being recognized.
