Fenwick & West Represents SonoSite in Acquisition of Visualsonics

Fenwick & West represented SonoSite, Inc., the world leader and specialist in bedside and point-of-care ultrasound, in its recently announced acquisition of Visualsonics, the leading developer of real-time, in vivo, high-resolution, micro-imaging systems for preclinical research. The aggregate transaction value will be approximately $71 million net of cash and debt. The acquisition is subject to various standard closing conditions and is expected to be complete in June 2010.

Visualsonics operates in Toronto, Canada.
