Fenwick represented Saildrone, a manufacturer and operator of a fleet of autonomous ocean vehicles designed for maritime domain awareness, bathymetry and science missions, in its $100 million Series C financing. The round was led by BOND, and also included new investors XN, Standard Investments, Emerson Collective and Crowley Maritime Corporation. Previous investors Capricorn’s Technology Impact Fund, Lux Capital, Social Capital and Tribe Capital also participated.
Saildrone will use the funds to accelerate production and scale go-to-market functions to meet the rapidly growing market demand for comprehensive ocean data. More information can be found in the company’s announcement.
