Fenwick represented Kairos Aerospace, a company which specializes in high-frequency aerial methane detection for the energy industry, in its $52 million Series D financing. The round was led by funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, with participation from Hartree Partners, as well as existing investors DCVC, Climate Investment, and Energy Innovation Capital.
Kairos will use the funds to bring its methane-mitigation technology to its customers and will be rebranding as Insight M to better align with its go-forward vision, a change that will officially launch later in Q1. More information can be obtained from the company’s announcement.
The transaction was led by corporate partners Patrick Grilli and Eric Shedlosky and included associates Eric Cheng, Erica Sun, Kasey Wang, Ty Chung, and Itka Safir.
