Women Influence & Power in Law Conference

Hosted By: Corporate Counsel

Women Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) offers an opportunity for unprecedented exchange with women in-house and outside counsel. This event gathers more than 600 senior female in-house and outside counsel to share hard-won leadership guidance and insights on the future landscape of cybersecurity, mastering transactions, risk management, the future of litigation, crafting an ESG strategy, the ever-changing role of legal leaders and more.

Fenwick partner and head of the firm's Trade & National Security practice Melissa Duffy will participate in the session, "Leveraging Compliance at the Ideation Level" on Monday, October 17.

Oftentimes, legal departments are viewed as roadblocks to innovation within businesses. This is due to legal teams being brought into a project late in the game and identifying potential compliance issues that cause delays. This session will focus on the value of involving legal at the ideation level, not only to ensure compliance when developing ideas, but also throughout the implementation stages.
