Directors' College is the nation’s premier executive education program for directors and C-level executives of publicly traded companies. The conference addresses a broad range of issues that confront modern boards, including the board’s role in setting business strategy, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), CEO succession, techniques for mitigating legal liability, challenges posed by activist investors, boardroom dynamics, and contemporary challenges.

  • Sheeva Ghassemi will be a panelist on the Evolution of Corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs panel on June 25 at 1:55 pm PT, which will address the myriad challenges that corporations face when trying to live up to DEI demands, including rising anti-DEI sentiments and litigation, uncertainty surrounding the legality of corporate DEI initiatives, unconscious bias, and resistance to change. The panel will explore strategies for diversifying the larger workforce and building an inclusive culture, including how to measure progress and hold management accountable.
  • David Bell will be a panelist on the Board Culture and Team Dynamics: Creating a High-Performing Board panel on June 26 at 2:00 pm PT, which will focus on what can directors do to build influence in the boardroom and develop a foundation of trust with fellow directors and with management, as well as provide practical advice on how individual directors can help to create a learning environment with inclusive practices that make the board work more effectively as a team to anticipate and mitigate risks and capture the valuable expertise and perspectives of all members.
