Blockchain Tax Conference 2025

The Blockchain Tax Conference at SJSU provides insights on current and emerging tax matters to practitioners and finance and accounting professionals who assist clients and others with digital asset investing or other transactions. As the number and range of transactions involving digital assets and blockchain increases, so will the number of tax questions. The agenda will cover the final broker reporting regulations and related rules, updates on taxation of staking and mining and lots more.

  • David will be speaking on the What’s New with Staking and Mining? session with Noah Buxton from The Network Firm.
  • Sean will be speaking on the Putting the Final 6045 Regulations and Form 1099-DA into Practice session with Shehan Chandrasekera from CoinTracker, Erin Fennimore from Taxbit, Yu-Ting Wang from Dello PC, Seth Wilks from IRS Digital Assets Initiative, and Lawrence Zlatkin from Coinbase.
  • Matthew will be speaking on the What Happens When You’re Paid in Crypto session with Sinead M. Kelly from Baker & Mckenzie, Ken O’Friel from Toku, and Erik Weinapple from Moss Adams.
