Fenwick & West represented GitHub, Inc., the world’s leading software development platform, in its $7.5 billion acquisition by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT).

The acquisition of GitHub will further Microsoft’s abilities to empower open source developers while accelerating enterprise developers’ use of GitHub. GitHub will remain an open platform and operate independently as a community, platform and business.
