Mountain View, CA (July 22, 2015) – Fenwick & West is pleased to announce that tax partner Larissa Neumann earned a place on Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. The list – which includes corporate founders, NASA scientists and education advocates – honors professionals who have shown leadership and made a difference in their fields.
Neumann certainly fits in with her fellow “overachievers,” as Silicon Valley Business Journal dubbed this year’s honorees. She represents top tech companies like Facebook, Intuit, Dropbox and Cloudera. Neumann advises clients on acquisitions, restructurings and transfer pricing issues and has successfully represented clients in federal tax controversies at the audit level, in appeals and in court.
She also devotes significant energy to pro bono work for nonprofit organizations and serves as a leader on Fenwick’s Pro Bono Review Committee. In addition, she often speaks at conferences for professional tax groups and has published several articles in publications such as Euromoney andInternational Tax Review.

In addition to her 40 Under 40 recognition, Neumann was named a rising star in Euromoney’s World’s Leading Tax Advisers. Euromoney also selected Neumann as this year’s Tax Rising Star at its Americas Women in Business Law Awards. Her pro bono work was also praised in Fenwick’s profile on The National Law Journal’s 2014 Pro Bono Hot List.
Neumann and her colleagues in Fenwick’s tax practice have also received high recognition for the practice as a whole. International Tax Review honored Fenwick as the World’s Top Tax Planning and Tax Transactional Practices in 2014, and World Tax declared the firm first tier in tax again this year. Additionally, Fenwick has won International Tax Review’s San Francisco Tax Firm Award six times and its U.S. Tax Litigation Firm Award three times.
