Managing Intellectual Property’s IP Stars has ranked Fenwick as one of the leading IP practices in the United States, with top rankings nationally, as well as in California and New York.
IP Stars ranks Fenwick in its top tiers nationally for copyright, patent contentious, patent prosecution, trademark contentious and trademark prosecution work, and for IP-related life sciences work. The firm’s IP practice received recognition in every category in California and was recognized for patent contentious work in New York.
In addition, several Fenwick partners received recognition from IP Stars as leading IP lawyers. Sally Abel, Andrew Bridges, David Hayes, Jedediah Wakefield and Karen Webb were honored as Trademark Stars. Hayes was also highlighted as a Patent Star, along with Robert Hulse, John McNelis, Jeffrey Oelke, Rajiv Patel and David Tellekson.
Partners Sally Abel and Karen Webb were also honored on Managing IP’s list of top women IP practitioners. Abel has appeared on this list for six consecutive years. The list recognizes the world’s leading women lawyers who have performed exceptionally for clients and firms in the past year, factoring in activities in the IP community and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Two Fenwick lawyers are also currently ranked as Rising Stars by Managing IP: trademark lawyer Mark Jansen and IP litigator Armen Nercessian.
Fenwick’s full 2019 rankings are available on IP Stars. This year, Managing IP also honored Fenwick as the Trademark Prosecution Firm of the Year for the western United States at the Americas IP Awards.
