Fenwick has been recognized by Working Mother as one of the 60 Best Law Firms for Women, a list developed annually in collaboration with the ABA Journal. The award honors U.S. law firms that exemplify best practices for retaining and promoting women lawyers.
Working Mother highlighted two Fenwick programs launched in 2017: the Transition Mentor Program and the Parents Affinity Group. The Transition Mentor Program provides lawyers on maternity leave with a mentor of their choice who will assist them in the transition. One of the many affinity groups at Fenwick, the parents group helps formalize the network of Fenwick parents and organizes various family events to further build community.
When evaluating firms, Working Mother considers the overall percentage of female lawyers, associates, counsel partners and new hires.
Fenwick regularly earns recognition for diversity and workplace culture. The American Lawyer and Law360 again named Fenwick among the top firms for diversity in 2018, and for the ninth consecutive year, the firm received a perfect score on The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index for its pro-LGBTQ policies and practices.
Fenwick was also recognized among the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal for the twelfth consecutive year.
