American Lawyer Media's 2007 Diversity Survey ranked Fenwick & West as the third most diverse law firm in the United States. We were ranked second in 2005 and sixth in 2006 among American law firms.

The Diversity Leadership Initiative at Fenwick & West identifies specific actions partners can take to advance the Firm's diversity initiatives and to secure commitment to engage in these actions.

An independent consultant conducted a survey in 2003 and again in 2006 that measured how well diversity is supported and included at Fenwick & West. The 2006 survey showed favorable improvements in virtually every category.

Fenwick & West earned the "Excellence in Diversity Efforts" award from the Santa Clara County Bar Association.

Fenwick diversity activities reach beyond its own walls; the Diversity Committee participated in a number of programs including: the California Minority Counsel Program, a number of diverse job and career fairs, and hosted events for the Journal of African American Law & Policy and South Asian Bar Association.
