Fenwick Receives Global Recognition for M&A Work
Mountain View, CA (October 13, 2016)– Fenwick & West is pleased to announce that the firm has been honored with two Deal of the Year awards at the 2016 M&A Atlas Awards for Global Major Markets. Recognized as a leading technology M&A practice globally, nationally and regionally, Fenwick consistently receives recognition at the M&A Atlas Awards.

Fenwick received a 2016 Global Deal of the Year award for the firm’s representation of King Digital Entertainment, maker of popular mobile games including “Candy Crush,” in its $5.9 billion acquisition by Activision Blizzard. The acquisition made Activision Blizzard the world’s largest game network, according to a statement released by the company.
The King Digital Entertainment deal represents just one of the major gaming deals Fenwick has led. In the past two years, the firm has handled the three largest-ever mobile gaming acquisitions including representing mobile game developer Supercell of “Clash of Clans” fame in its $8.6 billion stake acquisition by Tencent, one of China’s largest and most-used internet portals.
M&A Atlas also honored Fenwick with the Global Private Equity Deal of the Year for its representation of Symantec in its $7.4 billion sale of its information management business, Veritas Technologies Corporation, to an investor group led by The Carlyle Group.
