The Patent Eligibility of Software

Please join us as our esteemed panelists discuss the upcoming Supreme Court patent case, Alice Corporation Pty. Ltd. v. CLS Bank International.
The issue before the Court is:

Whether claims to computer-implemented inventions - including claims to systems and machines, processes, and items of manufacture - are directed to patent-eligible subject matter within the meaning of 35 U.S.C. § 101 as interpreted by this Court.

Our panelists will discuss the briefs, including their own, as well as their views of the March 31 oral arguments. In addition, the panelists will provide some insight on how the Court may rule, as well as the ramifications, both legal and financial, that a ruling could have on the patent system and the software industry. Alice Corp. may well be the bellwether case on the patent eligibility of software, and this panel is not to be missed!
